tl;dr: Asahi Linux now officially supports M3-series Macs (MacBooks and iMacs with M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max), with most hardware working including webcam, USB 3, hardware video decoding, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Major gaps remain: no full DCP support (breaking sleep and HDMI), no performant GPU acceleration, and no Mac Studio (M3 Ultra) support yet. Installation currently requires the installer's Expert mode, though that requirement should be dropped by the Fedora 45 beta. | |
